As a qualified Therapeutic Counsellor and Cognitive Coach & Mentor, my specialist field is working with clients to overcome challenge, break free from negative experiences and cycles, and support life transitions to enable you to move forward with your life confidently.  

I work 1:1 with clients in person at my private coaching room or via video call to help you identify, explore and create opportunity for personal growth and long term, permanent change.

About The Forward Thinking Therapist

Karen Smith is a mum, wife, qualified Psychological Coach, Mentor, Counsellor, Restorative Practitioner and more recently an author. She is passionate about positive emotional health and has over 15 years of experience working in education, and a portfolio of professional training supporting clients to achieve positive outcomes. 

Karen works collaboratively with her clients using her professional skills in psychology theory and cognitive coaching and mentoring, to guide others to be the change they want to see.

The Small Print

All communications and meetings are strictly confidential between the client and Forward Thinking Therapies. 


Coaching/Mentoring Services 

Sessions are for 1 hour and charged at £60 per hour or part thereof. Block bookings, for a minimum of 4 sessions, are charged at £50 per hour. Payment is required in full at time of booking. The number of sessions required will be dependent on your individual needs.

Payment Terms

An electronic invoice is provided to you at time of booking and full payment is required within 24 hours. Payment for block bookings is required in full at time of booking. 

We accept all major debit/credit cards. 

Cancellations

48 hours notice is required if you need to cancel your appointment unless otherwise agreed. 

Refunds

Refunds are not available unless otherwise agreed. If a session is missed, within our normal Terms & Conditions, your payment will be used for the next available session.

The Well Woman Network

A true social networking group for women around the globe.


What is the Well Woman Network?

The Well Woman Network is a true online social networking group for women and provides a safe space which supports  emotional health;  promoting positive, empowering interactions with humour and a sprinkle of fun. 

The group is free, a place to connect with women in a safe, non-judgemental and positive environment.

It was established in July 2019 as a local group in Wokingham, Berkshire, UK. Regular meet ups and activities soon became a monthly feature on the group, women coming together to create new friendships and connect with others who shared similar interests. The Well Woman Network has continued to thrive online. Inspiring daily posts, free online events and great communication keeps the group positive, fun and well connected. 

We also operate a Well Woman Network 'Sharing Circle', a small sub group which enables women to come together when requiring emotional support or if they feel the need to offload, share experiences and support each other in times of challenge. 

In addition to this sub group we also run free 'Art for Wellbeing' sessions weekly on a Wednesday afternoon and monthly, the last Wednesday in each month. These too are free and run by members for members. 


No gimmicks, no advertising, no self promotion, no cost, just women being women in a positive, healthy and fun environment.
